Google brought third party video conferencing to Calendar last month, and this month they are bringing third party cloud storage integration to Gmail! Nowadays, almost everyone has a Box or Dropbox account, so Google is working to streamline your workflow by giving you direct access to those files straight from Gmail.
How to get started: If you are an individual user, simply go your Gmail, click the settings gear, and in the dropdown select “Get add-ons.” This will be where you can go to install domain approved G Suite add-ons as Google adds more storage services in the future. For now we have the links for the cloud storage services available now:
Once installed, refresh Gmail and you will see either an icon in your Gmail Composer, or the Gmail Side Panel. Click on that icon to sign into the service, and you are connected!
How to use: Each platform will have their own unique functions and feature sets. All will allow you to seamlessly integrate your cloud services with your favorite productivity suite.
