It’s the synergy of our clients’ trust in us, combined with the passion, grit, and unstoppable innovation of the Wursta crew that got us there. We did it together with our amazing team, clients, and partners. We appreciate the support of our clients, both new and existing ones who continue to engage with Wursta for new initiatives. 10. Wursta Celebrates Ten Years in Business
Coming in at item number ten on our recap: 2024 marks Wursta’s tenth year in business!
Ten years can feel like ancient history in technology. Taking a look back, in 2014, Google Workspace was called “Google Apps for Work” then rebranded in September of that year to, “Google Apps for Business.”
It was rebranded again in 2016 to “G Suite” before arriving at the current title of “Google Workspace” in 2020.
Many fantastic features that we enjoy today weren’t available yet, such as:
- Ability to manage physical resources like conference rooms and printers with Calendar Resource API (launched in 2015)
- See who’s currently viewing a file (launched in 2016)
- Hold virtual meetings with Google Meet (launched in March 2017)
- Understand your security posture from a central place with Cloud Security Command Center (launched in 2018)
- Convenient warning before you send a file link to someone who you haven’t yet granted access to (launched in 2019)
Other noteworthy events of 2014 include the release of the movie Interstellar, launch of the Apple Watch, and Google’s purchase of Next Labs and DeepMind.
We look forward to continuing to help organizations empower their workforce for many decades to come.
