Wursta Supports General Catalyst’s Digital Transformation with Custom Apps
As a venture capital firm, General Catalyst partners with founders to build some of the world’s most enduring technology-based companies. General Catalyst had systems in place to communicate, but found they were disjointed and hard to sift through. Wursta created a custom knowledge management system to connect systems and create streamlined processes. The tool was such a success, the finance team asked for their own version. Next, utilizing their current HR system, Bamboo, Wursta created a corporate directory that syncs all General Catalyst employee’s contact information to employees’ mobile devices, as well as a dashboard to measure the new tools’ effectiveness.

As a growing enterprise business, General Catalyst uses a variety of tools to achieve success. But there was no resource library that listed all tools available or how to access them. Having this information in front of everyone would help with onboarding and transparency. On top of that, contact management was a struggle, especially since GC has offices across the country.
First, Wursta created a resource center called the Knowledge Base to show employees what tools General Catalyst has, why they’re important, and how to access them. Next, utilizing their current HR system, Bamboo, Wursta created a corporate directory that syncs all employee contact information to each employee’s mobile device.
These additions allow employees to quickly and easily access educational resources and contact information, improving HR and onboarding flow and communication. Specifically, the corporate directory is used daily. It’s greatly improved employee communication.
